Fire early Sunday morning
DeWitt Police say a fire at a motel off Carrier Circle is blamed on a drunk person trying to cook food. East Syracuse firefighters and Dewitt police were called out shortly after 3am Sunday morning, to the Extended Stay America on Old Collamer Road South, near Yorktown Circle.
It was a busy night for Dewitt Police---a half hour later they were also called to the multiple stabbing incident at Denny's on Erie Boulevard (see related story).
