AUBURN (AP) -- A 24-year-old man was sentenced to one to three years in prison and ordered to pay more than $86,000 in restitution for crashing into a house and two parked cars while he was driving drunk and fleeing police.
Scott Farrelly of Auburn admitted in Cayuga County Court in November that he reached speeds over 70 mph in a 30 mph zone as he fled Auburn police officers on June 11. He pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor unlawfully fleeing police.
Farrelly lost control of his 2006 Chevy Cobalt and crashed into two cars and a house, damaging the foundation, wall, chimney and garage door.
He was previously convicted of misdemeanor DWI in 2003 and felony DWI in 2007.
