Capitol Report: Municipal aid cuts

ALBANY -- One of the cuts Governor Cuomo is looking to make could melt away the number of snow plow drivers on the roads in your community…

The Governor is pushing for a 2% across-the-board cut in AIM funding, or Aid to Municipalities.   

Services such as leaf collection, police and snow removal.   Here's how the numbers pan out for cities both large and small

Buffalo                 -$3,291,535

Rochester            -$1,800,703

Syracuse:             -$1,460,000

Ithaca                    -$  53,273

Plattsburgh          -$   54,059


Comptroller Tom DiNapoli told the Capitol Report that localities are already facing an extremely stressful financial situation…

Cuomo's Mandate Relief Team is expected to deliver its report to executive branch on March 1st.
