UTICA -- Police are thanking the public after a suspected liquor store thief turned herself in Tuesday afternoon.
According to Utica Police, 28-year-old Christina Penn of Storrs Avenue in Utica was charged with petit larceny after she voluntarily surrendered herself in the case of a theft at City Liquors in Utica. Police say Penn turned herself in at the police station around 1:30 p.m. due to coverage of the story in the media and on the department's Facebook page.
Police say Penn was also booked on a menacing complaint for an unrelated incident reported on February 7.

Police in Oneida County are looking for the public’s help locating three women suspected of shoplifting from a liquor store over the weekend.
According to Utica Police, on Sunday three women were in the City Liquors store on Oneida Street in Utica. Police say the women worked together to steal a bottle of Patron Tequila valued at $100.

In the second video, one of the suspects can be seen placing the bottle inside her purse at around the 50 second mark.
Police are asking for help identifying the women. If you have any information you are asked to call the Utica Police Department at 315-223-3500. Police say all calls will be kept confidential.
