SHELDON, NY (AP) -- Fire officials in Wyoming County say more than 100 cows were trapped under the rubble when a snow-laden barn roof collapsed in the town of Sheldon, 50 miles southwest of Rochester.
It took 65 firefighters about 2 ½ hours to get all the animals out of the building at the Breezy Hills Dairy farm Sunday evening. Five cows were injured and were treated by the owner and a veterinarian.
The rescued cows were taken to another barn on the farm.
