TYRE, SENECA CO. -- A truck hauling more than 500 pigs topples over, killing 8 of them. Seneca County Sheriff's deputies say it happened Monday on Route 89 in the town of Tyre.

Deputies say Nevin Horst, 21, of Romulus, was driving a tractor trailer northbound on Route 89 when a gust of wind hit the trailer, forcing him to loose control.

The tractor and trailer flew off the road, flipping over in a ditch. The truck was hauling 550 pigs, and 8 of them died in the accident. Horst was not hurt.
