GEORGETOWN, MADISON CO, -- A Madison County man is under arrest after police say he raped two children.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, investigators have charged 23-year-old Michael S. Debottis of Georgetown, New York with two counts of felony third degree rape and two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child for two separate, unrelated incidents. Police say Debottis was first arrested on January 26, and released on January 28. He was arrested for a second time on February 17, and in each arrest he was charged with one count each of the above crimes.
Madison County Undersheriff John Ball says the alleged victims are both female, and both are under the age of 17. He declined to go into further detail, citing the ongoing investigation.
Debottis was arraigned in the Town of Georgetown Court and currently being held at the Madison County Jail on $30,000 cash bail or $50,000.00 secured bond.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
