UTICA -- The off-duty officer who took down a gunman at the New York Mills AT&T store last year is now up for an award. Rome Police officer Donald Moore has been nominated as one of the "America's Most Wanted All Stars."

Moore was shopping at the AT&T store on Commercial Drive on May 27th, 2010 when an irate customer, 79-year-old Abraham Dickan, walked in and opened fire. Dickan wounded a store employee. Officer Moore sprang into action. He shot and killed Dickan. Investigators believe Dickan would have kept shooting if Moore hadn't stopped him. Dickan had a list with him that had six names on it.

Moore has already received several awards for his actions, including the Rome Police Department's Medal of Valor, the Distinguished Law Enforcement Award from the Oneida County District Attorney, and the first ever AT&T Heroes Award.

Despite the awards, Officer Moore has continually sayd he was "just doing his job" that day.
