5 men arrested for DWI in Salina crackdown

SALINA -- Five men are arrested for allegedly driving drunk in a state police crackdown. It happened in the Town of Salina Saturday. Police set up a checkpoint at the northbound Interstate 81 off ramp to 7th North Street.

Police arrested five men for driving while intoxicated. Dale Schantz, 33, of Curtis Street in Syracuse is accused of having a blood alcohol content of .10 percent. Police say David Petrie, 40, of Pennsylvania, had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent. Leon Williams, 51, of Henry Clay Blvd. In Clay, is charged with having a blood alcohol content of .10 percent. Henry Barksdale, 51, of Butternut Street in Syracuse, is accused of having a blood alcohol content of .09 percent. Police say Ryan Mikal, 27, of State Route 104A in Sterling, had a blood alcohol content of .15 percent.
