FORT DRUM, NY (AP) -- About 300 soldiers returning from Afghanistan will be greeted with a welcome home ceremony this afternoon at Fort Drum. The 1st Brigade Combat Team spent the past eleven months deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom partnering with Afghan National Security Forces within the northern region of Afghanistan.
To date, approximately 1,330 soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team have redeployed from Afghanistan.
