SCRIBA -- The Parish man accused of raping a child is also now facing drug charges.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies arrested David Davis Jr., 39, of U.S. Route 11 Bldg. 2588 Apt. Lot 12, on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Deputies say they found marijuana and cocaine along with glass pipes, bongs and a metal grinder.

Davis Jr. first made headlines on CNYCentral.com Wednesday when he was accused of raping a child. Deputies say he had sexual intercourse with a child younger than 15-years-old in May and July of 2008.

On the new drug charges, Davis was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and sent to the Oswego County Jail without bail due to prior felony convictions. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Mexico Court on March 15th.
