Taking a look back at what made headlines this week in Albany. ALBANY --
Senator Carl Kruger was a Democrat. One of the 4 Amigos. And until Thursday, the ranking Democrat on the Finance Committee.
Now he is known as another lawmaker indicted for accepting bribes in exchange for pushing legislation.
Ironically, Kruger broke one of the ethics laws in Albany considered quite strong – Bribery. But other issues, particularly the disclosure of outside interests, need to be addressed. Meanwhle the Governor's own Medicaid Redesign Team was dealt a blow this week by a group called the Center for Justice and Democracy. The Group claims having hospital executives on the Team leaves them open to charges under the public officers law, a claim the Cuomo administration called "absurd".
