OSWEGO -- A drug crackdown in Oswego has lead to the arrests of three more people.

First, an Oswego man is facing charges after police seize more than four pounds of marijuana from his home.

Shortly after 9am on Tuesday, police arrested Patrick Watts, 62, of East Tenth Street. The arrest comes as a result of ongoing investigations into illegal drug activity in the City of Oswego. Members of the police department learned Watts may have been in possession of marijuana. After interviewing him, police searched his residence and discovered the drugs.

In addition to the marijuana, police also seized other paraphernalia, including several hypodermic syringes and prescription medications.

Watts is charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana Second Degree, a class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in Oswego City Court, where he was released on his own recognizance. He's due back in court on April 7.

The crackdown also resulted in the arrest of two other people.

Last Friday around 1:45pm, an off-duty Oswego City Police Officer observed what he believed was illegal drug usage happening inside an illegally parked car.

After calling for more officers to arrive at the scene, a traffic stop was initiated after the car began to drive away.

The driver was identified as Sean O'Reilly, 22, of Stoney Point Trail in Webster. Also in the vehicle was Ian Jacobi, 22, of Ellingwood Drive in Rochester.

Officers discovered O'Reilly was in possession of marijuana, as well as LSD.

Both O'Reilly and Jacobi were taken into custody and transported to the Oswego City Police Department.

Both are facing charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Fourth Degree: Hallucinogen, a class C Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Fourth Degree: LSD, also a class C Felony. O'Reilly was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.

Both were arraigned in Oswego City Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bail bond. They were due back in court yesterday.

As always, Oswego Police are asking anyone with information regarding this or any other illegal drug activity to contact them at 315-342-2283. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous may also contact the Oswego City Police Departments tip-line at 315-342-8131, or email crimewatch@oswegony.org.
