HOMER, CORTLAND CO. -- A Syracuse mother and daughter are facing charges in a drug bust. Sonia Dones, 42, of 209 N. McBride St., and her daughter, Yashira Cruz, 24, are accused of selling cocaine in the Village of Homer in Cortland County.

They are charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, conspiracy to sell cocaine and unlawfully dealing with a child. Investigators say they had a 7-month-old child with them when they were selling cocaine.

Authorities say they seized a half an ounce of cocaine and $500 during the course of their investigation. Dones and Cruz were arraigned in the Town of Homer Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The investigation continues, and authorities say, more arrests are pending.
