SYRACUSE -- The White Ribbon campaign gets underway next week.  But today, Vera House will host the annual breakfast that will kick off the event.

Some 500 people are expected at the breakfast this morning at the Oncenter in downtown Syracuse.

The White Ribbon campaign's honorary chairman, Dr. David Smith, President of Upstate Medical University, will address the audience this morning.

The White Ribbon campaign runs from March 25th-April 3rd to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. The ribbons help fund Vera House programs.

For more information and how you can participate in the White Ribbon campaign, go to the Vera House website.
