UTICA -- A Utica man is accused of violating an order of protection by pushing his girlfriend and sending threatening messages that he was going to kill her.

Utica police say Dominique Spight, 19, of Bennett Street, violated the terms of an order of protection by putting his hand on his girlfriend's face and pushing her. Police say Spight then sent her threatening text messages that he was going to kill her.

Spight is now charged with criminal contempt and harassment.
