SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are on the lookout for an alleged murder suspect after a stabbing death last week.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Tom Connellan, investigators are looking for 23-year-old Tyrone C. Loftin Jr. of 411 Ellis Street in Syracuse. Police say Loftin, also known as “Ty” or “Tinker”, is wanted for second degree murder in connection with the death of 23-year-old Clarence Lucas of Syracuse.
Police say that on March 17 Loftin and Lucas were involved in a fight, where Lucas sustained fatal wounds after being stabbed repeatedly. Lucas died at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse the next day.
Connellan says Loftin should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who comes into contact with him should “use extreme caution.”
