New York State Trooper Kevin Dobson, killed after being struck by a vehicle in the line of duty
A state trooper was killed this morning after being struck by a vehicle on a routine traffic stop.
State Police say trooper Kevin P. Dobson was killed on Interstate 290 in Tonawanda, near Buffalo.
Police say he was on the side of the road east of the Colvin Blvd. exit when he was hit by a passing vehicle and killed at around 7:30 A.M.
There have been no arrests made and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call State Police in Clarence at (716) 759-6831.
Dobson was a 14 year veteran of the NY State Police.
