WEST MONROE, OSWEGO CO. -- A Cicero woman died early Sunday morning when her all-terrain vehicle overturned, ejecting her from the vehicle.

The Oswego County Sheriff's Office says 38-year-old Linda L. Muraca of Tyler Terrace was driving the four-wheel ATV on Gulf Bridge Road in the Town of West Monroe when the accident happened just after midnight. 36-year-old Steven M. Reed of West Monroe was also on the vehicle when it overturned. The ATV, which had a plow on it, reportedly fell on top of them.

Muraca was transported to Upstate University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Reed did not sustain serious injuries and refused medical treatment.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Police say neither driver nor passenger was reported to have been wearing helmets, and they believe driver inexperience may have been a contributing factor in the incident.
