UTICA -- A Utica sex offender is accused of chasing a woman with a knife.

Utica police say 53-year-old Leonard Weather, of 1434 Genesee Street, was chasing a woman with a knife in front of the Olbiston Apartments early Sunday morning. The woman says Weather grabbed her and put a pocket knife to her face.

He is a level 2 registered sex offender.

Weather is charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
