It's been a busy Saturday morning for Syracuse firefighters and the Red Cross after two morning housefires.

The first call came shortly after midnight. A fire on Syracuse's south side has an adult and two children out of their home.  The Red Cross was called, as firefighters extinguished flames at 119 Fernwood Avenue at midnight...the apartment home was heavily damaged, and the fire's cause remains under investigation.

The second fire happened later that morning at 120 Jericho Dr. on the city's southside. One adult was forced to evacuate as the apartment was heavily damaged by the fire. The Red Cross is providing assistance.
