LYNCOURT -- Hundreds of motorcyclists came out for the annual Blessing of the Bikes ceremony to user in the season.
Safety was on the forefront of seemingly everyone's mind, as motorcyclists remind drivers it's time to share the road again. Already this year, we've seen a fatal motorcycle crash.
Motorcyclists are reminding drivers to be extra cautious at intersections now that they're back on the roads.
"The number one cause of a motorcyclist death is people turning left in front of us," said motorcyclist Carmella Brown. "They don't see us."
It's why bikers have a simple piece of advice for drivers: look twice, save a life.
"We just want everybody to be safe out there and we want the motorcyclists to be on the defensive and to be safe and to watch and we want automobiles to be aware and watch for us, too," said Sonny Schiebler, of ABATE.
ABATE, a local motorcycle safety group, sponsored today's event.
