Classes on several topics offered thru July
Onondaga County's Institute for Caregivers has spring-summer classes aimed at helping family caregivers.
Lisa Alford, Commissioner of Aging and Youth, says one of four households has a family caregiver, and the offerings are aimed at specific issues (like paying for long term care, activities for persons with dementia at home, and tools for caregivers--which includes reference guides to area services), and the classes are also offered in several locations to make them more convenient.
