It's been an incredible journey for our Biggest Loser contestant, Darryl Sanford. This morning, he appeared on Today in Central New York for his final weigh-in with us and he dropped another 7 pounds in the last week.
Since he started his journey with us three months ago, he's lost nearly 50 pounds, which is quite impressive. But he's lost more than 100 pounds since the beginning of his weight loss routine last September.
It has been amazing to watch Darryl's transformation on the Trillium Fitness Biggest Loser program. After a slight set back of 15 lbs. gained over the holidays last December, Darryl returned to the program with a renewed passion.
In January, he promised that he was "making the choice to give his all." Although he did not reach his goal of a 230 lb. final weigh-in, he has still come a long way.
This morning, he showed off his old clothes from when he was at his peak weight and they were literally falling off, looking more like pajamas now. His remarkable journey hasn't only changed his life, but also those around him.
Friends and family were on hand here at the CNY Central studios for the final weigh in this morning. They held signs spelling out "100," in honor of his lost weight, and "Go Darryl." His wife also told us how proud she was of his transformation.
