AUBURN -- Update: NYSEG reports power has been restored for all but about 37 customers in the Auburn area. The remaining customers are expected to have their power back sometime around 2:15pm.

Power is out for 2,954 customers in Auburn, Aurelieus, Fleming, and Springport. We understand from the 911 center in Cayuga County that they've been told there is a transformer problem. New York State Electric and Gas reports in its website that it estimates power will be restored sometime around 8:15 this morning.
