DWI, Reckless Driving, more charges
A Connecticut man is spending this Easter Sunday in the Fulton Police Lockup, after a chase that involved law enforcers from several agencies in two counties.
It started in Fulton about 1:20 Sunday morning, when a Fulton officer tried to pull a vehicle over on Curtis Street for failure to keep right. The car reportedly fled off, and was pursued to Lamson Roade, State Rte 48, then down Church Road towards Jordan.
Oswego and Onondaga Deputies and Jordan Police joined in the chase, which ended with the vehicle crashing into a tree, but the suspect then ran into nearby woods. The Air One Helicopter and State Police K9s were also called in, and 45-year-old James Neupert, from Ansonia, Connecticut was arrested.
Among the charges: DWI, Reckless Driving, and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer.
