The Central New York group that uses horses to encourage confidence and motor skills for developmentally disabled is looking for some volunteer help.

Andrea Colella, with From the Ground Up, says no experience is needed, and they'll train people (not riders!) to help in the safe handling of horses in therapy work.  It's a great way to be around horses without actually riding, and volunteers are needed at several skill levels.

There's a training session set for Saturday (April 30, 1 - 4pm at the facility's home, Mystic Mountain Farm in New Woodstock.
For directions, information and what to wear you can check the website, www.ftguhorses.org or call 457-6903.
