UTICA -- An Oneida man is accused of attacking his estranged wife because she refused to drop the order of protection against him.

32-year-old Wade Berry, of East Avenue, was arrested on two outstanding warrants, stemming from a domestic dispute at 1214 Brinckerhoff Avenue April 24th.

Utica police say Berry started arguing with his estranged wife, grabbed her by the throat, pushing her up against the side of her home and choking her to the point where she couldn't breath.

Berry is charged with criminal contempt and criminal obstruction of breathing.
