CICERO -- Cicero police and Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an underage drinking party.
It happened March 26th at a home on Donnybrook Drive while the girl's parents were out of town. Cicero police say about 200 people attended the party and several underage people were drinking alcohol. The kids' parents were called and arrangements were made to have them picked up.
Several weeks later, the family noticed a Mac Notebook computer valued at about $1,000 and camera worth about $600 were missing and reported that to police.
Cicero police say an arrest was made, but they say Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies are handling the case. We have a call out to them for more information.
Cicero police hope this case serves as a reminder of why people should take advantage of the department's Teen Safe Initiative Home Safe Program. It's similar to a Vacation Property Check, which the department offers.
If parents are out of town and teens are left a home, police will check on the teens and the home every 24 hours. The times of the check are random and the teen is left with information about what to do in an emergency. If any issues arise like a party or unauthorized people at the home, parents are notified immediately.
