Two hit by enemy fire, one killed by IED
Update: Third soldier's death reported.
The Defense Department now says a 3rd 10th Mountain Division soldier was killed in Afghanistan this past week.
Spc Preston Dennis, 23, from Redding California died in Kandahar Province on Thursday, after his unit was attaced with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

The Defense Departments says two soldiers from the Watertown-based 10th Mountain Division have been killed in action, in Afghanistan. Both were on duty in Wardak Province when enemy forces attacked their unit with small arms fire.
Sgt. Matthew Hermanson, 22, from Appleton, Wisconsin and Pfc Jonathan Villanueava, 19, from Jacksonville Florida were members of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team.
