MARCELLUS -- State Police say two teens tried to steal money from the Marcellus Free Library.

Troops say a 16-year-old and 17-year-old cut three window screens at the library to get inside and steal money Friday morning, but there were unable to gain access. The same teens were then seen trying to break into the Marcellus Bowling Lanes. A person walking his dog heard the window at the bowling alley break. He yelled a the teens, and even caught one and held him until police arrived.

The teens are both charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief. They were sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $10,000 bail.
