Matt Mulcahy accepts his career achievement award
The Syracuse Press Club held its annual awards dinner Saturday night, and CNY Central took home awards in a broad array of categories.
Anchor/Reporter Matt Mulcahy took home the most prestigious award of the night, winning the career achievement award for his 25 years of work in Upstate New York news. Mulcahy also took home the award for "Best Blog Entry."
CNY Central also won for best newscast, second place for best spot news coverage of the Megabus crash on Onondaga Lake Parkway and second place for news special program for Jazz Fest 2010.
Jessica Cain won first place for investigative story and Niko Tamurian also took first for human interest story. Alex Dunbar got first for news feature, and Brian Mueller took first for sports story.
Brandon Roth received two second place awards, one for news feature and the other for human interest story.
