SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Symphony has now officially filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The papers were filed Monday morning, at Federal bankruptcy court in Syracuse.  A clerk there tells us the next step is a meeting of creditors - the list includes all season ticket holders - on June 22nd.
Symphony musicians - laid off by the bankruptcy - are working to put together a 'summer season' to honor requests to play, especially around the Fourth of July festivities.

Some of the donations from Monday night's thank you concert at  Syracuse's Mulroy Civic Center will help fund the effort.

We expect an announcement on the efforts later this month.
