Free tours, info and giveaways
A giant walk-through human brain is going to be open for tours this coming week, at St. Camillus.
Joanna Jewett, with the health and rehabilitation center, says the 18 foot long, 12 foot wide replica of the human brain is being set up to teach about brain function, and to emphasize brain injury prevention, both from accidents and from stroke, dietary and genetic risks.
The display will be open for free tours at St. Camillus (Fay Road, Westvale) on Thursday noon - 3pm or Friday 8am-3pm. Student, organization at group tours are welcome-- call 703-0731 to schedule. Jewett says there's also an evening open house on Thursday 5 - 7pm, with a bicycle helmet giveaway and drawings for free bicycles (also free).
