PHILADELPHIA, JEFFERSON CO. -- State police are investigating a deadly crash in Jefferson County.

It happened around 7:22 a.m. Monday on State Route 11 in the Town of Philadelphia.

Police say 24-year-old Nicole Lallier, of New Windsor, lost control, nearly hitting a car driven by 46-year-old Richard Martin, of Rensselaer Falls. Police say Lallier then slammed into another car driven by 30-year-old Nicole Bellinger, of Gouverneur.

Lallier was pronounced dead on the scene and taken to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner's office.

Martin was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for pain.

Bellinger was taken to Gouverneur Hospital for knee and chest pain.

Police say everyone involved was wearing their seatbelts. They continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
