SYRACUSE -- A local doctor convicted of sending explicit text messages to a teenage boy has lost his medical license.
The state Office of Professional Medical Conduct revoked the license of Dr. Richard Kulak. The state report finds Kulak violated professional conduct by being convicted of a crime. The report also reveals that the teenage boy and his mother were both patients of Kulak.
In January, Kulak was sentenced to 10 years on probation. He was also forced to register as a sex offender.
Kulak worked at North Medical Center, and is the former Director of Health Services for the Syracuse City School District.
