Onondaga Lake Park Marina
LIVERPOOL -- The Onondaga Lake Park Marina and Boat Launch will open this weekend.
Onondaga County Parks officials say they will be open for business on Saturday.
Boaters are reminded that there is still a no wake zone on the lake and on the Seneca River. Take caution, as there's a good chance you will still find debris.
There was a flood warning issued in March for Onondaga Lake due to rising waters.
Last year, the county unveiled the newly renovated marina, which they hope will attract more boaters to the lake. The old wooden docks were replaced with new metals ones, eight new boat slips were added and improvements were made to the parking and boat launch areas. About $750,000 was poured into the upgrades.
The Onondaga Lake Park Marina & Boat Launch off of Vine Street in the Village of Liverpool is the only paved public launch on Onondaga Lake.
Daily launch for boats is $7.50 and season passes are $77 per boat, which includes the use of the Oneida Shores Boat Launch.
