We're getting help for a member of the Navy who says he was left in the cold after signing an apartment lease.

Mark Richardson says his family was ready to move out of their rented home and into the Saddle Club Town Homes in Liverpool.

Days after he filled out the application, Mark learned he would soon be transferred to Florida.

When he tried to get his $300 dollar deposit back, he was told the specific military clause in his lease would not allow him to break the contract.

After he told a regional representative of Saddle Club that he contacted us for help, they agreed to refund his money.

"It's very difficult. I'm leaving in a month," said Richardson. "I have orders to leave here in a month, so I have to get my kids switched out of school, I have household goods. I have a lot to do in a month, and it's just another headache."

Richardson says saddle club is open to him applying for the apartment again is he ends up back in Central New York.
