'One more reminder' to make it a safe night

It's a big night for students.  For parents, it's a night of worry about safety.  So, area florists are being asked to include one last reminder to prom goers, to keep it safe.  'Think, dont Drink' cards, 5-thousand of them,  are being included with corsages and boutonnieres going out from florists and from supermarket floral sections.

Stephanie Threatte, with Onondaga County's Medical Society, says local physicians underwrite the campaign, which has been an annual event for almost a decade.  The cards were originally small and formal, but Threatte says that they've also used cartoon characters, like Homer Simpson, and other artwork to catch prom goers' eyes to get the message across.

The 'Think, don't Drink' campaign is supported by the Medical Society and Alliance, a support group for physicians  which also provides Health Care Career Scholarships.
