ONEIDA -- A Sherrill man admits he assaulted a mailman and now faces up to 20 years behind bars.

57-year-old Emmanuel Clothakis pleaded guilty in federal court to assaulting a U.S. Postal letter carrier. It happened in the City of Oneida on March 19th.

Clothakis admitted to assaulting a federal officer while engaged in the performance of his official duties.

He now faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is set for September 30th.
