CAMILLUS -- Nearly 20 students from West Genesee High School have been suspended after a silly string incident.
District Superintendent Chris Brown tells CNY Central 18 students got into a "pretty significant silly string fight" in the hallways between classes Thursday morning. Brown says the incident created a disruption in the building and an unsafe environment.
All 18 students are suspended for a minimum of five days, pending the outcome of a superintendent's hearing. When asked if punishment could include banning students from events like prom and graduation, Brown said, "I think everything's on the table, but it depends on the outcome of those hearings."
No students were injured in the fight.
