SYRACUSE -- A local boy scout troop pays tribute to those who died while fighting for our freedom.
On Thursday, the Baldwinsville Troop 80 placed American flags at all the headstones at Veterans Cemetery in Syracuse. This is part of the final preparations for the Memorial Day holiday this weekend.
Boy scouts say they're just doing their part to honor those who were killed.
"I think it's nice to be out here and serving the veterans that helped us, and today our country wouldn't be like it is without them," said Dominick Pavese.
The annual Memorial Day ceremony is Sunday at 10:30am.
