SYRACUSE -- A Liverpool woman is lucky to be alive after a crash Friday afternoon near Grant and Teall Avenues.

It happened around 12:40. Police say Erica Dinicola, 28, was driving eastbound on Grant when she crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a support pole near a fire hydrant. Her car then rolled over.

Dinicola was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries. She was treated and released.

Police have not issued any tickets at this time. They say she was distracted at the time of the crash. Police say she was not talking or texting on the cell phone.
