IRA, CAYUGA CO. -- A fatal motor vehicle crash is under investigation in Cayuga County.

The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office tells CNY Central that around 11:40 Sunday morning two vehicles collided at the intersection of Baldwin Road and Route 176 in the town of Ira. Deputies say the driver of a Dodge vehicle, 23-year-old Beverly R. Walters of Solvay, was making a left turn onto Route 176 from Baldwin Road when she pulled into the path of a vehicle heading north. The two cars impacted head-on.

The driver of the second car, 81-year-old Reginald C. Williams of Ontario, Canada, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walters had her young kids in the car, an eight-year-old boy and infant boy. All three were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for unspecified injuries.

Police say their investigation continues. No word on any charges at this time.
