UTICA -- An Oneida County man was arrested over the weekend after police say he inappropriately touched a woman.

According to Utica Police, just before 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning officers were called to the Happy Journey Motel on North Genesee Street for an investigation into an alleged sex crime. Police say they learned that 48-year-old Scott Wood, who is a resident of the motel, entered the room of a male friend and touched the man’s female guest in a sexual manner while they were in bed.

Police arrested Wood and charged him with misdemeanor forcible touching. Further court action is pending.
