The end of an era is upon us today as Space shuttle Endeavour has landed. At 2:35 AM late last night, the spacecraft touched down at Kennedy Space center located east of Orlando, FL. Check out this photo from John Cordiale when Endeavor, alongside the International Space Station (ISS), flew over his hometown of Queensburry, NY. This brings to an end a 2 week mission to the International Space Station. During that time, crewmembers delivered a dark matter physics experiment which could, in time, give us a deeper understanding of the cosmos. More information on this experiment can be found here.
This brings a successful end to Endeavour’s 19 years of “active” service. The spacecraft will live out it’s retirement years at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
