SYRACUSE -- Here is a list of detours and road work projects underway by the New York State Department of Transportation:
SHORT-TERM PROJECTS : ONONDAGA COUNTY
Bridge Repair
Monday, June 6, and Tuesday, June 7, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily
I-81 Southbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, right lane closed approaching and crossing over the Route 80 Bridge in Tully. Access to and from I-81 south at Exit 14 (Tully) will be maintained.
Paving Operations
Monday, June 6, 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I-81 Northbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, actual lane open to traffic will be dependent on the progress of the paving project from Exit 25 (Mattydale) to Exit 29N (Route 481 North).
Pavement Repair
Monday, June 6, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I-81 Northbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, right lane closed approaching and crossing over the Route 80 Bridge at Exit 14 (Tully). Access to and from I-81 north at Exit 14 will be maintained.

I-81 Northbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, left lane closed approaching and crossing over the Route 80 Bridge at Exit 14 (Tully). Access to and from I-81 north at Exit 14 will be maintained.

I-81 Southbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, left lane closed approaching and crossing over the Route 80 Bridge at Exit 14 (Tully). Access to and from I-81 south will be maintained .

I-81 Southbound Mainline: Reduced to one lane, right lane closed approaching and crossing over the Route 80 Bridge at Exit 14 (Tully). Access to and from I-81 south will be maintained.
LONG-TERM CONTINUOUS PROJECTS -- ONONDAGA COUNTY:
Bridge Repair
Continuous (24 hours a day/7days a week) now through Friday, June 17, 2011.
I-81 Southbound: Reduced to two lanes, left lane closed approaching and crossing over the I-90 (New York State Thruway) Bridge. Access to and from Exit 25A (I-90) will be maintained.
Bridge Repair
Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through Monday, June 13, 2011.
U.S. Route 11 Northbound: Reduced to two lanes, Left lane closed from Sand Road to the split with South Bay Road in Mattydale at which point there will be a lane shift to a right lane closure which will reduce travel to one lane, approaching and crossing under the I-81 overpass in Mattydale. Access to and from I-81 north will be maintained.

Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through June 30, 2011.
N.Y. Route 695 Southbound Ramp: On-ramp from State Fair Blvd. in Lakeland is closed to all traffic.
Details for the signed Detour follow: Enter I-690 west at State Fair Blvd, proceed west to Exit 5 (State Fair Boulevard/ Van Vleck Road) to I-690 east, then proceed east to Exit 6 (Route 695 southbound).
Pavement Rehabilitation
Weekdays (Monday through Friday) 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through June 30.
Route 298 Eastbound and Westbound: Single lane alternating direction of traffic only in the area where actual work is being performed during the day between East Taft Road and Route 298 in the Town of Cicero.
Details About Work Zone Temporary Speed Restriction: The speed limit will be reduced from the current 55 mph to 15 mph during the pavement material application process and to 30 mph for up to seven (7) days following the application, to allow for proper bonding of the treatment to the road surface. Pilot vehicles will be directing traffic during the times when the 15 mph speed limit is in effect. Motorists should expect significant delays. Electronic variable message signs and other construction signs are in place along Route 298 advising of these temporary speed limit reductions.
LONG TERM PROJECTS: CAYUGA COUNTY
Culvert Replacement
Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through Thursday, July 21.
Route 90 Northbound and Southbound: Single lane alternating direction traffic controlled by temporary 3 color traffic signal, south of Wells Street between the two Wells College Campus driveways in the Town of Ledyard.
LONG -TERM CONTINUOUS PROJECTS : OSWEGO COUNTY
Bridge Repair
Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through approximately June 30, 2011.
I-81 Northbound Mainline: Left lane closed approaching and crossing under the Bartell Road Bridge at Exit 31 (Brewerton) and over the Barge Canal/Oneida Lake Outlet Bridge in Brewerton. Access to and from Exit 31 (Bartell Road-Brewerton) will be maintained.

Continuous (24 hours a day/7 days a week) now through approximately June 30, 2011.
I-81 Southbound: Reduced to one lane of travel, left and center lanes closed, approaching and crossing over the Barge Canal/ Oneida Lake Outlet Bridge Brewerton.
The scheduled road, ramp and lane closures listed above are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen logistical complications. Other lane, ramp or road closures not yet scheduled may occur that do not appear on this report.
