UTICA -- An Oneida County woman is facing drug charges in a recent raid.

Utica police executed a search warrant at 9363 Elm Street Apt. 5 in Chadwicks last Thursday.

Police say they found approximately 2 ounces of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia, a bullet-proof vest and a loaded handgun.

Tamitha Karriem is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail. She's scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday.
