Expo on Wednesday will help with relocation
Syracuse's downtown is growing: 2700 residents, up 700 in the last census. And, 27,000 commute in and out daily for jobs in the downtown area. So now, the Downtown Committee is recruiting business to relocate, or expand in the downtown area.
Merike Trier, with the Downtown Committee, says recruiting postcards went out to companies all over the region--up to Ontario and down to the Pennsylvania border, urging them to look at setting up a branch here. She says the call is also out to people who want to start new businesses. The Wednesday expo, at the Atrium Building on Clinton Square, will offer information and help in expanding to a second location, as well as offeringhelp with locations, leasing and financing. It's free, 8:30am - 3pm.
