NORWICH, CHENANGO CO. -- A child is dead after she was accidentally run over by her mother’s car Thursday evening.
According to State Police, just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday Troopers were called to investigate a fatal car-pedestrian accident in the city of Norwich. Police say six-year-old Leah M. Osterhout of State Route 23 in Norwich was in her driveway when she was accidentally run over by a vehicle driven by her mother, Melissa Osterhout.
Police say the child was taken by private vehicle to Chenango Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
